Built by someone who's been on the truck
We built WerkOps because the tools contractors were using were either built for giant enterprises or duct-taped together from three different apps. Neither one works when you're stuffed inside a crawl space.
Our Story
The spreadsheet was fine. Until it wasn't.
Most trade businesses start the same way - a truck, a phone, and a spreadsheet that eventually becomes a monster nobody can explain to a new hire. Scheduling is a group text. Invoices are emailed PDFs. Load calculations are done on a napkin or skipped entirely.
The work is skilled. The tools shouldn't be primitive.
WerkOps started with a simple question: what would a business management platform look like if it was designed specifically for trade contractors - not retrofitted from software built for retail stores or law firms? The answer is what you're looking at.
We started with HVAC because it's one of the most technically demanding trades and one of the most underserved by decent software. The load calculator alone has saved contractors hours per week in estimating time. The rest of the platform builds from there.
Meet the Founder
Dina Good
Founder, WerkOps
Dina grew up in the trades. Her father was a contractor, then a building inspector, and the job site was her classroom long before any formal one was. She went on to own her own contracting company, which is where she first felt the pain of running a skilled trade business on bad software and worse spreadsheets. A love of data pulled her into programming, and the two worlds eventually collided into WerkOps - software built by someone who has actually been on the truck.
