WerkOps ("we," "us," or "our") operates werkops.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We keep this straightforward because we think you deserve to understand what's happening with your data.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform - pages visited, features used, session duration. This helps us improve the product.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Communications: If you contact us or fill out a form on our site, we store that communication to respond to you.
Cookies: We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the WerkOps platform, communicate with you about your account, process payments, and send occasional product updates if you've opted in. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without explicit consent.
SMS and Mobile Messaging
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with any third party except the messaging providers strictly required to deliver your messages.
We use SMS to send operational notifications only: job assignments to technicians, appointment confirmations and on-the-way alerts, schedule changes, and voicemail notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Consent is collected either during signup, where you provide your mobile number and agree to receive messages, or by replying to a confirmation message from the business you work with. Consent is never a condition of purchase.
Message frequency varies based on your job and appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance. We keep a record of opt-in and opt-out events so we can honour your preferences.
Contractors using WerkOps send messages from their own phone number to their own customers. WerkOps processes those messages on the contractor's behalf and does not use their customer lists for any purpose of its own.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@werkops.com. If you're located in the EU or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate WerkOps: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Telnyx (voice and SMS delivery), Vapi (AI receptionist), and Anthropic and OpenAI (AI assistant features). Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function. Mobile numbers are shared with Telnyx solely to deliver messages you have consented to receive, and with no one else.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
